This West Tampa Cuban Sandwich recipe is made the way that I have enjoyed most of the Cuban sandwiches I have eaten for over 40 years... You just can't go wrong with this version of the popular sandwich.

Ingredients
- 8-9 inch piece of Cuban Bread
- 4 oz Glazed Ham, thinly sliced
- 2 oz Mojo Roasted Pork, thinly sliced
- 1 oz Genoa Salami , thinly sliced
- 1 oz Swiss Cheese
- 3-4 Pickle chips (optional)
- 1 tbs Yellow Mustard
- 1 tbs Mayonnaise
- 3-4 Tomato slices, thinly sliced
- Lettuce, thinly sliced
- Soft Butter
Instructions
Mise en place
- Slice lettuce, tomatoes and meats, if necessary.
Assemble sandwich
- Cut Cuban bread in half lengthwise and spread mayo & mustard on top half of bread.
- Layer sliced meats and cheese in the following order: ham, pork, salami, and then cheese.
- Place pickle chips evenly on top.
- Add lettuce and tomatoes, and place top half of bread on top.
Press
- Lightly butter both top and bottom of sandwich. Heat sandwich in press until crisp.
- Cut diagonally from corner to corner.
- Serve.
